Welcome to the Feisty Freelancer, a hub for creatives. As your feisty guide, I’m building a community of writers and other creatives through courses, a newsletter, books, and who knows what else. That’s the fun of creative ventures, trying new things!
How did the Feisty Freelancer get started? In 2015, I wrote an ebook with that name for my writing students as part of a course in Professional Writing and Communications graduate certificate that I helped to develop at Humber College in Toronto. I’m here to pass along the lessons I’ve learned from building a business, trying new things, making mistakes, picking new directions and generally enjoying the work from home lifestyle that’s afforded me opportunities to choose my own projects, set my own schedule, do great work for clients who are a good fit and dump those that are bad, and travel.
